The first step in applying for financial aid is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Please make sure to complete the application for the academic year in which you are applying for financial aid.

Once you fill out the application, the federal processor determines your expected family contribution (EFC) and shares that information with us. EFC is an index number representing your financial need and is not the actual amount of money your family can be expected to contribute to your seminary costs.

The Financial Aid Office uses your EFC to determine your eligibility for need-based aid from Western.

In order to ensure that we receive your EFC, be sure to enter our six-digit school code (G070178) when prompted.
